Located in Boston’s Historic Seaport District, Commonwealth Pier is home to Fidelity Investments new world headquarters. This project is intended to revitalize over 700,000 square feet of building and pier space allowing for greater public access to the waterfront, providing new retail locations and offering first class event space. MMS worked with the design team to provide a heating and domestic hot water skid.
- Skids included: (4) boilers, (4) pumps, (2) DHW tanks and (1) mixing station as well as associated electrical and controls scope.
- The project team wanted to maximize valuable floor space. Instead of a mechanical room inside the building (taking up 440 sf) they opted for a modular penthouse on the roof.
- These units were installed in March 2022 with full occupancy expected in 2024.
